|

Let me introduce myself.
|

|

My name is Eugene Alvin S. Villar. Villar is a Spanish name and it's
pronounced vil-yar'. I use the pseudonym, SEAV, which is just
an anagram of my initials.
I am a 19-year-old
second-year college student taking up Computer Engineering at the
University of the Philippines.
I took up grade and high school at De
la Salle-Santiago Zobel, one of the best schools in the country.
|

I consider myself quite experienced with QB programming.
|

I have been programming for six years now three
in GW-BASIC/BASICA and the last three in QBASIC/QuickBASIC. I
know a quite a bit of Pascal (Turbo Pascal 7), a great deal of
HTML (I coded this site purely in MS-DOS Edit), and enough of
JavaScript to produce the effects found in this web site and
more. I also have experience with 8086/386 ASM programming which I
used to create my own Mode 13h routines.
Unfortunately, my
knowledge of C/C++ is very limited. I haven't had the chance to play
around with a good beginner's C compiler or such. Anyway, I'm going to
start learning C in my second year of college.
|

Besides programming, I have other hobbies, talents, and interests.
|

I consider myself an artist or more specifically, a designer. You can
already see in the design of my web site a sample of my art. I am also
adept in math. That is, I'm very good at analyzing. This, combined with my
creative skills as an artist, really helps a lot in my programming.
Besides computers and
Math, I'm also interested in astronomy as you might notice from some of my
programs. I also enjoy reading books especially of the fantasy genre. My
favorite authors are David Eddings, Robert Jordan, Anne
McCaffrey, Margaret Weiss, and Tracy Hickman.
I also enjoy watching
Anime. I enjoyed Ranma 1/2 and Dragonball Z a few
years ago. Now I like, El Hazard, and Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X.
I also like the classic films of Hayao Miyazaki, especially
Nausicaa in the Valley of the Wind.
If you're still not
satisfied, pasensya na lang kayo!

SEAV Softwares is my "little" company.
|

|

There's nothing much to say. I'm a lone programmer since I like programming
on my own. So, to add a corporate touch to my programs, I just conceived of
making a "company" and it's simply SEAV Softwares.
The company was created way back in 1996 while the logo was designed
around August 1997 and it depicts the Greek letter phi.
